What was once a bustling creamery in the early 20th century has now been transformed into a thriving quilt shop, thanks to the vision and hard work of owner Linda Thesing.

Thesing, along with her daughter Janelle Johnson, purchased the old creamery building in 2011 and spent over a year renovating it to house their new business, The Old Creamery Quilt Shop. The building, which was originally constructed between 1916 and 1920, had previously served various purposes over the decades, including a coffee shop run by Thesing and her daughter alongside the quilt shop.

“We started out with the business. (When) we started out we had a coffee shop and then we had that,” Thesing explained. “But Randall’s a little town. It was good in the summertime, but then wintertime, when there was no traffic, it was hard to staff because of that.”
