A Little Falls business owner is doing her part to share the concerns of small businesses with lawmakers in Washington, D.C.

Paula Kampa, owner of Kampa Gerbi and Associates Inc. recently participated in Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices which concluded with rural small business fly-in to the Nation’s Capital where she met with Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith and Representatives Pete Stauber and Tom Emmer. Rural small business owners from 15 other states also made the trek — including a total of five from Minnesota, Kampa said.

Kampa said her message to Minnesota lawmakers was simple and clear.

“As owners of small, rural businesses, we are concerned about healthcare costs and the access to capital funds,” Kampa said. “In order to survive, we need to attract financial institutions to help small businesses.”
