A green light in a window is a small gesture, but it carries a message Morrison County officials want veterans to see: Their service is appreciated, and their community supports them.

The Morrison County Board of Commissioners adopted an Operation Green Light proclamation encouraging residents and businesses to display a green light Nov. 4 through Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Morrison County joins a national effort led by the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers. Participating communities illuminate buildings, homes and businesses in green to recognize veterans and draw attention to the support available to them and their families.
