Vintage and Vines Shoppe combines plants and a one-stop-shop experience for customers

Two years ago, Michelle Fussy found a new passion for growing houseplants after bringing home a philodendron ‘Jose Buono’ plant known for its large paddle shaped leaves. This expanded her interest in taking care of plants and expanding her gallery, and while her plants grew, so did the idea of creating a shop that invites others to take on the journey of taking care of a plant.

“I started buying a couple houseplants, and I noticed they were multiplying in the pot, then I started dividing them, repotting them and within a year I probably had 200 plants,” Fussy said.

When she first purchased the building where Vintage and Vines Shoppe is located, she had planned to use the back side for homesteading classes. Since the space was already divided in two, she decided to make the front space a retail shop for plants, something that she kept seeing on Facebook.
