Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum opens at Camp Ripley gateway

For nine years, Randal Dietrich has watched the Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum move toward something that wasn’t even on the radar when he took the job.
Now, Dietrich, the museum’s executive director, is watching the final pieces come together inside a new 40,000-square-foot building just outside Camp Ripley.
The $32 million facility, on a 32-acre campus along Highway 371, will officially open Sept. 11-13 with military displays, historic aircraft, reenactors, music and veteran-led programs.
