Minnesota Veterans and Military Museum officially opens at Camp Ripley

The Minnesota Veterans and Military Museum officially opened its doors Saturday at Camp Ripley, marking the culmination of years of planning, fundraising and collaboration — and what museum leaders described as the beginning of an even larger effort to preserve Minnesota’s military stories.
Former Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, chair of the museum’s board of directors, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony and said the new museum was made possible through the work of its staff, Camp Ripley and partners from across Minnesota and the nation.
