Celebrating dairy: A look at the Morrison County American Dairy Association's legacy

Promoting local dairy farming through community outreach, the Morrison County American Dairy Association continues to leave its mark. The local chapter was established in 1953 and while the program has grown in some aspects, in others it tells of lasting changes, including the decline of the number of dairy farms in Morrison County.
Board Member Alan “Fred” Gunderson of Upsala said when he first became involved with the Morrison County American Dairy Association in 1988, there were more than 1,200 dairy farms in Morrison County. Today, there are only about 100.
