First Avenue SE reconstruction to begin July 13

Reconstruction work on First Avenue SE is set to begin July 13, bringing improvements to a patched and uneven stretch of roadway.
The work is part of Little Falls City Project No. 416, which covers a five-block corridor from Wood Street to Fourth Street SE.
Little Falls Public Works Director and City Engineer Greg Kimman previously told the City Council that while the overall corridor has been rated in “fair” condition, the block between First and Second streets SE had reached the point where another overlay would only delay a larger repair.
