The City of Royalton will hold a public hearing at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, on a conditional use permit for the former creamery building.
The building has long been used for storage and possibly welding or machine shop work, but city officials said its zoning was never properly updated. It is currently zoned residential, though it has historically been treated, and taxed, as industrial property.
Staff recommended a conditional use permit rather than rezoning the property. The hearing will give nearby residents a chance to comment on the proposed use.
