The population of Randall was 607, according to the 2020 census. With the introduction of the Brummer Addition within the city, however, Randall officials hope to see that number grow.
According to Mayor Jeff “Ernie” Wright, the origins of the Brummer Addition go all the way back to the mid-2000s, when a developer initially built 15 houses and had plans for many more. However, those plans were halted with the onset of the 2008 financial crisis, sending the developer into bankruptcy and leaving the rest of the planned lots undeveloped indefinitely.
It wasn’t until around 15 years later, in the early 2020s, that the city sold its remaining undeveloped lots to Roach Development, with the developer agreeing to install sewer and water services and constructing the initial roadway and the city agreeing to later pave the roadway and hook each new house up to electricity and gas as they are built. Roach Development can then sell each lot to interested buyers who will then own the lot and any real estate on it.
