Students, staff, families and community members gathered Friday morning at Little Falls Community High School to honor local veterans during the school’s annual Veterans Day program. Earlier in the morning, Little Falls Community Middle School held its Veterans Day observance. Shortly after 11 a.m., the traditional Veterans Day ceremony took place at the intersection of First Street and Broadway Avenue, where the community has gathered for decades to mark the day.
Inside the high school gym, the program included music, student reflections and the recognition of veterans and school staff who have served in the military, along with remarks from guest speaker Kris VonBerge, Morrison County Veterans Service Officer.
Principal Tim Bjorge welcomed those in attendance and thanked veterans for their presence, noting the importance of students witnessing examples of service and sacrifice directly from those who have lived it.
