At Christmastime, the Musser Mansion at Linden Hill can feel a little enchanted — the kind of place where garland seems to drape itself, Victorian ornaments whisper stories of holidays long ago and you half-expect mischievous elves to come dancing through Laura Jane Musser’s music room after dark.
For a week in mid-November, volunteers dressed the Musser Mansion for the holidays. But the music room tells another story — one that suggests a lively band of elves rules the mansion long after the volunteers go home.
Inside the Musser Mansion music room, it’s clear something — or someone — has unexpectedly taken over.
