Helping Hands 365 receives grant for pantry upgrades
Helping Hands 365 has received a grant from Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless to support improvements in its local food pantry.
The funding will be used to purchase a new refrigerator and upgraded shelving, allowing the organization to better store and distribute produce, dairy, dry goods and other staples. Helping Hands 365 works with area businesses to reduce food waste and provide assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity, a need that has grown in recent months — particularly among young adults and older residents.
