The Pierz Lions Club has made a significant investment in student health by donating more than $10,000 in specialized screening equipment to Pierz Schools ISD 484. The contribution includes a new Spot Vision Screener and an audiometer for hearing evaluations.

The Spot Vision Screener will be placed on loan to the district’s Early Childhood Program, where it will support screening for children before they enter school. The district provides free screening for children from infancy to age 5 and offers a variety of resources to families in the areas of development, speech and language and motor skills. Families with questions or concerns about their young child’s development can contact Sarah Funk for more information.
