During the Sept. 23 Morrison County Board of Commissioners meeting, the board proclaimed the week of Oct. 5 through Oct. 11 as National 4-H Week.
This week’s theme is “beyond ready,” focusing on preparing today’s youth for the future. To that end, 4-H youth, parents and leaders were invited to share a breakfast with members of the board prior to the meeting’s start.
The young members of 4-H introduced themselves to the board, sharing their favorite aspects of being a part of 4-H. Of the members’ favorite aspects, caring for pigs, cattle, poultry and sheep were popular picks.
