Being named Morrison County Farm Family of the Year came as a surprise to the Rudolph family. Living on a farm outside of Little Falls, Nathan and Brenda Rudolph, along with their children Everett, 15, and Vivian, 10, stay actively involved. Not only in the day-to-day chores on their own farm, but in the community, as well.
Brenda and Nathan said receiving the recognition means a lot to them. It is a good feeling.
“It’s humbling,” Nathan said.
The couple learned of the recognition in June as they were preparing for the Morrison County Fair. As exciting as the news was, it was something they had to mentally put on hold in order to focus on what was at hand. Then, the summer just got busy with attending farmers’ markets, holding educational programs and more. Before long, it was time for the official award ceremony at Farmfest in Morgan, Aug. 5-7.
