After years of preparation, Little Falls has taken another significant step toward beginning construction of a roundabout in the city.
As discussed during the Monday, Aug. 18 Little Falls City Council work session, the city has secured a $1.9 million grant from the Minnesota Department of Transportation. This is on top of a previous $1.38 million Surface Transportation Block Grant from the Central Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership through the Carbon Reduction Program, bringing the total amount of grant dollars to around $3.28 million.
With the total cost of the project anticipated to be around $3.6 million, the estimated remaining $320,000 will fall on the city to pay.
