Dam repairs continue amidst colder temperatures

Amidst recent colder temperatures, the repairs at the Little Falls Dam that began in June is well underway and is expected to be completed in mid-October. Two of the five Tainter gates on the east spillway are being replaced, along with some minor concrete repairs done. The last time the Little Falls Dam had major repairs was in 1920. A 120-foot section of the left abutment core wall will also be raised about 18 inches to provide additional protection during extreme floods.
