The River Connects Us is the title of a temporary exhibit currently on display at the Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum in Little Falls. The photographic exhibit highlights life and culture along the Mississippi River, from the headwaters at Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico. It will remain on display through Labor Day weekend, according to Mike Worcester, executive director of the Morrison County Historical Society.
The photographs were taken by Peter Mutschler of Winona and are accompanied by poetry written by author and poet Tom Gillaspy of Stillwater.
Mutschler said his inspiration for the project came from decades spent living in Mississippi River communities.
