Pierz Farmers Mill: Serving farmers through the decades

In the heart of Pierz sits an old building that countless farmers have relied on through generations. It is the home of Pierz Farmers Mill and has been so for more than 60 years.

“This building was built in 1964 and then, prior to that, there was an older building that was in the 1950s,” said Owner Dan Otremba.

Growing up on a dairy farm west of Pierz, Otremba started working at the Pierz Farmers Mill in 1982. All of his brothers, Jim, Bob, Mike and Dave, are still involved in agriculture in one form or another. Otremba runs and operates the mill, raises a small herd of Holstein steers and works at the Enchanted Dairy. Jim and Mike are both farmers, Dave is an ag mechanic and Bob works for Leedstone, a dairy farm equipment supplier.
