Since Aug. 1, the assisted living in Upsala has been known as Vitality Living of Upsala. The reason for the name change is that the assisted living facility is under new ownership. Vitality Living of Upsala also provides memory care.

Already owning a skilled nursing and assisted living facility in Aitkin, Tyler Hoemberg said part of the growth plan is to expand in other communities. The goal is to serve 1,200 residents by having 1,200 assisted living units within five years, he said.

“Part of that is obviously we need to grow, so we need to be looking at other places to invest in and to take over. It’s part of our goal to expand care in Minnesota,” he said.
