Pioneer Elementary named a blue-ribbon school

The U.S. Department of Education has recognized 356 schools as the 2024 cohort of the National Blue Ribbon Schools, including Pioneer Elementary School in Pierz.
Pioneer Elementary is one of seven Minnesota schools to receive the honor, which highlights schools that excel in academic performance or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps among different student groups.
The other six Minnesota schools recognized are: Caledonia High School, Hills-Beaver Creek Secondary School, Franklin Elementary in Mankato, James Knoll Elementary in Ortonville, Chippewa Middle School in North Oaks, and Oakwood Elementary in Plymouth.
