Police Chief Kyle Johnson requested the Little Falls City Council on May 6 for authorization to enter into a contract with Oracle America for a new records system- a joint venture with the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and other Morrison County police departments.

Johnson explained to the City Council that the current system is outdated and the departments arrived at selecting Oracle America after going through an intensive process to find a new system provider. The total first year cost is $102,960, which is included in the 2024 police department budget.

In a separate action, the City Council approved an expenditure for upgrades to the police department’s rifles, which are extremely outdated, Johnson said.
