Located in 119 Broadway, West Side Cafe in Little Falls has been serving comfort home food since 1997. Sherry Doble went from working as a cook at The Royal to becoming a business owner after being asked. Rich Lukasavitz had purchased the building across the street and asked Doble if she would run a business there.
“He came to me and asked if I would want to run this. He owns the building and I own the business,” Doble said.
Doble recalls the challenge of learning how to run a business, and though she struggled, she managed to get West Side Cafe up and running into a well established business. Her daughter, Nicole Schmidt, works at the cafe and what she likes the most about working there is seeing people connect.
