More than a bar: Christensen's Bar serves up friendship and tradition

For many residents and out-of-town visitors, Christensen’s Bar in downtown Little Falls has become a neighborhood gathering place — somewhere to enjoy a cold drink or homemade pizza, play darts, watch sports and socialize.

Owner Mark Christensen describes it as a place where people can come as they are.

Today known as Christensen’s Bar, Christensen purchased the establishment from his friend, Cary Blechinger-Gorka in January as she pursued another business opportunity. As he had bartended at the location for a long time, he was already familiar with the business and the customers. He’s also native to the area as he grew up in Randall and graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 1991. In fact, he and Blechinger-Gorka were classmates, he said.
