The Minnesota Military & Veterans Museum will open its new 40,000 square foot facility during a three-day grand opening weekend, Sept. 11-13. The celebration will mark the 25th anniversary of the events of Sept. 11, 2001, and include an address by retired U.S. Army General Paul M. Nakasone. There also will be veteran-guide land, sea and air experiences, narrated historic warbird flyovers, family activities, historical re-enactors, concerts, military vehicles and programs honoring veterans from every generation of service.

Located on a 32-acre campus just outside the gates of Camp Ripley, the new museum will celebrate Minnesota's military history through immersive exhibits, restored military vehicles and aircraft, interactive galleries, archival collections and more than 25,000 artifacts to tell stories from the Civil War through today.
