Royalton prepares for Platte River Day celebration

Royalton will welcome residents and visitors for a full day of food, family activities, live music and community traditions during Platte River Day on Saturday, July 25.

Sponsored by the Royalton Lions Club, the annual celebration will feature events from 8:30 a.m. through midnight.

The day begins with the Platte River 5K Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. The Platte River Day Parade will follow at 11 a.m., beginning at Royalton High School and traveling through town before ending at Holy Trinity Church.

Also, the 5th annual Platte River Day Car and Bike show will be at the Royalton American Legion on Sat. July 25th. $10 per vehicle entry fee with free spectator entrance. All proceeds from the car and bike show go to ROGERUP.ORG supporting veterans and first responders with mental health services, providing service dogs and providing veterans with outdoor activities for their wellbeing.
