Work along Highway 10 will pick up in the coming months as the Minnesota Department of Transportation prepares for a series of road projects in the Royalton and Little Falls areas.

Motorists along Highway 10 between Royalton and Little Falls — and from Royalton to the Halfway Crossing west of Rice — will begin noticing activity over the next two years as MnDOT gears up for a major improvement project planned for 2027.

In the nearer term, MnDOT also has preserve and maintain work scheduled within Royalton in 2026. Crews plan to resurface Highway 10 and make road repairs from North Fifth Avenue to the south end of town during a four-day period, according to MnDOT. Sidewalk updates are also planned along eastbound Highway 10 from North Second Avenue to Morrison County Road 26, with that work expected to take about four weeks, MnDOT stated.
