When Pierz School District officials traveled to Texas last week, they weren’t just picking up another plaque for the wall.

Superintendent George Weber said the recognition, presented during the National High Reliability Schools Summit, differs significantly from the district’s earlier Blue Ribbon School designation in that it represents an ongoing process focused on consistency, collaboration and long-term commitment to effective teaching.
