Westside Community Kare Kabinet keeps the shelves stocked with love and necessities

With a love for community and a passion for helping others, Stacey Moran of Little Falls established the Westside Community Kare Kabinet in April. The cabinet, which sits outside her home at 907 Seventh Avenue SW in Little Falls, is filled with a variety of food, personal care, winter and baby items and is available to people from all walks of life. The cabinet runs on a “take what you need, leave what you can” philosophy and is unlocked daily from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

To encourage others to stock the cabinet with items and to spread the word in the community that it is available, Moran created a Facebook page called Westside Community Kare Kabinet.

“I cannot personally feed the neighborhood, so each week, I just add a few extra things when I do my shopping and if I see a sale, (I get more) to help put some stuff out there,” she said.
