After learning more about being a mentor to a child through Kinship of Morrison County, the Lee family was matched with Anna Kahler, a young girl whose father had died. The friendship continues after more than eight years.
“He asked me to be on their board and I said, ‘Not right now.’ Then he said, ‘I have somebody who’d be perfect for you to mentor.’ So I said, ‘OK, talk to me about that,’” she said.
