In a detailed discussion at its Tuesday, Feb. 18 planning session, the Morrison County Board of Commissioners reviewed proposed amendments to the county’s zoning ordinance that would establish regulations for the development of biofuel plants.

The changes, presented by Land Services Director Amy Kowalzek, aim to create a clear framework for permitting these types of facilities, which convert manure into solid, liquid or gaseous fuels.
