In a bittersweet move, the Pierz City Council accepted the resignation of Clubhouse Manager Toni Meyer, opening the door for new leadership at the city’s popular golf course.

Meyer, whose last day in her position was Dec. 27, submitted her resignation to the council at its Monday, Dec. 9 meeting. While the council expressed regret at losing Meyer’s experience and dedication, they acknowledged her desire to pursue other opportunities.

“I appreciate the opportunities and experiences that I have gained while working at the golf course and the city hall,” Meyer wrote in her resignation letter. “I am so grateful for the support and encouragement provided by the citizens, customers and employees of our great city.”
