For roughly six decades, Sue’s Drive In has been a beloved institution in the small town of Pierz. The classic American drive-in, known for its juicy burgers, crispy onion rings, and creamy milkshakes, has weathered the test of time thanks to its commitment to quality, community, and family.
The current owner, Roger Schulte, shared the rich history and enduring legacy of this Pierz landmark. Schulte, a former union carpenter, took over the drive-in six years ago from his sister, Sue Sand, who had owned it since 1985.
“I had wanted to do something similar to this approximately 10 years earlier. It just didn’t work out,” Schulte said. “And then this became available when (Sand) was ready to retire. So, I wanted to do it.”
