More than 30 people braved the cold and snowy weather conditions to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Little Flyers Child Care Center, Monday, March 25.
Recapitulating how the project began, Superintendent Greg Johnson gave a shoutout to City Administrator Jon Radermacher and Mayor Greg Zylka for their ability to look ahead, identify the issue of available child care in the area and moving forward to securing a $1.5 million grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
In addition, he said, once the City was awarded the grant, the City of Little Falls approached the Little Falls School District to see if it was willing to partner with the City to build a child care center.
