Dr. Amanda Carter joins Animal Haven

With a love for animals, Dr. Amanda Carter started working recently at Animal Haven in Little Falls. Since she started a few weeks ago, she has been busy caring for ill animals, performing a variety of surgeries and vaccinating pets.

“It’s similar to what I was doing where I worked before, like surgery. They have a wonderful staff here and we kick out so many more appointments,” she said. “They just have a down pact  routine, which is great. They really utilize their staff and do a good job, so I’m enjoying it a lot.”

Looking back, Carter said she’s been around animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up on a crop farm in southwest Minnesota in Vesta near Marshall, the farm was home to a variety of animals.
