Larson Abstract gets new leader, promises same excellent service

Over the past 34 years, the Little Falls real estate title, insurance and abstract company Larson Abstract has been led by Roxanne Matsen. As of Friday, Dec. 29, however, the company now has a new manager.
The new person in charge is Melinda Fietek, who took over for Matsen as she entered into retirement. Matsen had served as the company’s manager for roughly a third of its existence, although she took a two-year break from working there. Prior to working at Larson Abstract, Matsen worked at a bank for nine years.
Prior to taking on the position of manager, Fietek worked for Larson Abstract as a closer, someone who takes care of all of the paperwork necessary to transfer property from the seller to the buyer. She then transitioned to the position of head closer as staff grew, having worked for the company for a total of 23 years, since December 2000. Fietek’s managerial duties began in October, as Matsen worked with her to make sure she was ready to fully take over as manager at the end of December.
