Falls Fabricating breaks ground on expansion project in Northwest Little Falls

Falls Fabricating in the Industrial Park in Northwest Little Falls, broke ground for its expansion project, Tuesday. The company will add 40,000 square feet to its facility and plans to add 20 jobs. The business acquired some city-owned land for the project and worked with the city of Little Falls for tax increment financing to purchase the additional land, owned by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA). Two years ago, six employees purchased the business, which works with sheet metal to produce stainless steel tanks and just about anything a customer needs made out of sheet metal. Dan Ortloff, president of Falls Fabricating, said the business has clients within a 300-mile radius. Rice Companies is the contractor for the multi-million-dollar project.
