Little Falls' Dam Festival celebration set for June 16 - 17

The Dam Festival in Little Falls is a river city celebration that runs from Friday - Saturday, June 16 - 17.

On Friday, Little Falls businesses will feature their Dam Festival sales with the “Dam Sidewalk Sale.” That afternoon, festivities get underway at Maple Island Park and run from 3 p.m. – midnight, with entertainment provided by DJ Kris Crosby, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Food vendors, beverage garden and pull tabs will be set up. Beginning at 8:30 p.m., guests can dance the night away with live music by Junk FM.

On Saturday, the “free” Dam2Dam Bike Ride begins at 7:30 a.m. The ride starts and ends at Le Bourget Park in Little Falls. The route takes you along Lindbergh Drive south passing by the home of Charles Lindbergh the world-famous pilot. It continues along the Great River Road south for miles of scenic views. Saturday’s Dam Festival parade will begin at 11 a.m., traveling from Little Falls City Hall and ending near CHI St. Gabriel’s Hospital.

At Maple Island Park Saturday, in addition to food vendors, a beer garden and pull tabs, activities will include inflatables, kids’ games, bingo, a dunk tank, axe throwing, water wars, a corn hole tournament, the North Dam Market featuring more than 50 vendors and more.

DJs Brandon/Chris will entertain the crowd from noon – 4 p.m. At 4 p.m., karaoke runs until 8 p.m., and at 8:30 p.m., live music will be provided by Patrick Sieben and the LVG (Las Vegas Band).

At approximately 10:10 p.m., a huge fireworks display over the Mississippi River will begin.
