Students in the Little Falls Community High School Aviation Class recently had the opportunity to step into the world of commercial aviation during an exclusive behind the scenes tour of Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (MSP). The visit included hands-on exposure to several aviation careers, state of the art technology, and real world operations.

Throughout the day, students got to visit several important factors of the airport including a tour of the Air Traffic Control Tower where they got to experience what it is like to work inside of the M98 radar room and at the top of the tower being an Air Traffic Controller. Students also received the privilege of going out on the catwalk while up inside the tower, watching planes as they took off and landed in the distance. Before leaving, the group got a tour of the ATCT Simulator where new air traffic controllers are trained for high pressure decision making.
