Expect a booming spring and summer at Camp Ripley

Camp Ripley looks to another busy season of military training.

“Camp Ripley in 2024 was the third busiest training center across the nation,” said Col. Troy Fink, garrison commander at Camp Ripley, in an update to the Crow Wing County Board on Tuesday, March 17. “In 2025, we were the second busiest training installation across the nation. We are now in 2026 I am very hopeful that we'll be able to reach number one, which would be a feather in our hat, of course, but, nonetheless, we are extremely busy throughout the year … whether it's military training, whether it's law enforcement training or any kind of state agency kind of training.”

Expect April, May, and June to be busy and booming as artillery units come through the camp.
