Upgrades improve American Legion Park in Pierz

The American Legion Park in Pierz, also colloquially known as the Blue Park or Lions Park, has received a number of renovations to keep visitors of all ages coming to the park for years to come.

The park features an open hut perfect for picnics or for parents to rest while their children play on the nearby playground. This playground features many slides, climbing equipment, monkey bars and a zipline, providing plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy outside while staying active.

Discussions to renovate the park began last fall among members of the Pierz City Council and Park Board. Instead of using city tax dollars, the City instead opted to entirely rely on donations from organizations and individuals. The people of Pierz stepped up, raising approximately $4,000 thanks to donations from people and groups such as the Pierz Lions Club.
