Pierz Golf Course opens nine new holes in full swing

There were a few holes in the City of Pierz’s plans for its golf course — nine of them, to be exact.
After purchasing a plot of land in December 2016, the Pierz City Council ultimately voted to use the land to create the new nine holes at the Pierz Golf Course, combining with the old nine holes to create a full 18-hole golf course.
The road to its grand opening on July 10 wasn’t easy, however. There was opposition from both members of city council and the broader community from those who feared that creating the nine new holes would take too much time and money. Even for those who supported the project, it was years of work to get the nine holes in shape for a perfect golfing experience.
