For the past two decades, True Balance Counseling has been a beacon of mental health support in rural Minnesota. Founded in 2005 by Leslie Russell-Martin and her husband Ken Martin, the practice has evolved from a single-provider office to a multi-location, holistically-focused organization serving communities across the state.
“There were no providers in our area and as I looked around for different places to start a practice, Little Falls was a spot that called to me for needing rural health care,” Russell-Martin said
As a self-described “farm girl,” she was driven by a desire to make quality mental health services more accessible to those living outside of major metropolitan areas.
