In the wake of a devastating flood that hit the city of Randall in June 2022, the local water and wastewater department has taken proactive measures to safeguard the community’s drinking water supply. These efforts have earned recognition from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Rural Water Association.
During the June 2022 flood, one of Randall’s wells was completely submerged, raising immediate concerns about the integrity of the drinking water. Keith Evans, the water and wastewater superintendent for Randall and his team quickly sprang into action, extending the casing of the affected well to elevate it above the floodplain.
